Jump Start Academy

The JUMP START Academy introduces participants to the National Board Body of Knowledge that is the foundation of the Certification process (The 5 Core Propositions, the Standards for Teaching, and the Architecture of Accomplished Teaching. Participants will gain insight to the structure of the certification portfolio and create a plan for your certification journey. A team of National Board Teachers will guide learning and connecting with other candidates will enhance your experience. Certificates of participation will be awarded for completing the 6 session Academy.

This learning opportunity is brought forward through partnership with the Hillsborough Classroom Teachers Association and the National Education Association.

Registration fees for JUMP START are $495 for non union members. There is a $100 deposit. A limited number of JUMP START scholarships may available for HCTA/NEA members.

Limited scholarships may be available for JUMP START, ASPIRE!, and/or NBPTS fees. Registered ASPIRE! participants w/ paid program fees will be 1st to receive scholarship application information. Scholarship information is released upon finalization of award criteria as designated by our donors. Note, scholarships are not guaranteed.
