Project Connect is a program designed to strengthen, support, and empower Education Support Professionals (ESPs) through meaningful, purpose-driven relationships. Professional learning is provided for both mentors and mentees.

This pilot program connects new and emerging ESPs with experienced mentors who provide guidance, encouragement, and practical support. This is an opportunity to elevate ESP leadership and promote community and career success.

Make a lasting connection with fellow ESPs just like you! As a mentor, you have the opportunity to provide guidance and support to newly hired ESPs. As part of the mentor cadre, you will grow your knowledge and leadership skills.

PREFERRED qualifications are:

  • 2 or more years of professional full-time experience as an ESP --either Para-Educator or Clerical

  • Experience as a worksite union leader

  • Participation in union-based professional learning

  • Participation in union leadership

  • Experience with mentoring youth and/or adults

  • Possess good listening, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills

MENTOR APPLICATION STEPS

Application window opens February 12 and closes March 9.

Submit completed application, one-page resume, and 2 reference contacts.

Interview invitations will be issued after application screenings.
